Tree trimming on Brunswick

Funny time to be trimming trees...

What is this for?

I saw the posted poster on Bloor street this week

I think it says 'We can fuck you' and it looks like a WWII poster I saw once.

I'm not sure what this supposed to show...

Boy.. are we lucky!

Just read the Globe and Mail article on the recent power outage in the Annex.

Boy... are we lucky as we are just outside the outage area. Is our area prone to more then average power outages? Looking back, we must deal with 2 - 3 outages in my area each year.

Is that more then average?

Favourite things this weekend...

Walking around today I thought to capture some pictures showing some of my favourite things that are happening in January.

From What's happening to the neighbourhood?

The christmas trees are coming out of everyone's house's to get ready to be chipped into mulch.

The guys are playing hockey on the tennis courts. Somehow they are ALWAYs there come rain or shine to play hockey.

Looking west on Bloor Street, the sun sets on an always busy street. Not too much snow yet, unlike some years, but I don't mind it as I don't have to shovel.

Is there more grafitti then ever?

This summer saw the proliferation of much more grafitti then ever... Mostly on the back alleys.

Here's two recent additions in behind Robert Street.

Do you think there is more?

Why?

I have lived in the Toronto Bloor and Spadina neighbourhood for over 10 years and have seen lots of change... for the good and bad.

This blog will document the changes as seen by one of its friends.
